Friska Viljor – Wohlwill

Deutsch: Damals, zu Zeiten der Wanderjahre, als Don und ich mit einer kleinen Gruppe sefardischer Juden quer durchs ganze Land tingelten, von Auftritt zu Auftritt (ich auf dem Hochseil, Don als Schwertschlucker), spendete allzu oft die Gitarre am wohlig warmen Lagerfeuer Halt und Freude. Eine dieser eindringlichen Melodien wurde jetzt von Friska Viljor zu neuem Leben erweckt. Oh, Wandern ist des Müllers Lust…
Charlotte Gainsbourg feat. Beck – Heaven Can Wait
English: After the consumption of “Antichrist“, a movie in which Charlotte Gainsbourg excorcises multiple sexual intercourses with pillar-of-strength Willem Dafoe in the woods of Eden, we surely understand the transcendent meaning of this song’s title: “Heaven can wait for hell is so close.” And yet the question Lars von Trier suggests even in the way he designed the title (watch out for the appearance of the “t” in Antichrist!) is: “Are women evil?” Are they really?
Deutsch: Nachdem ich Stunden nach der Filmvorführung von Lars von Triers (nicht zu verwechseln mit Ulf aus Worms) “Antichrist” vergebens versucht hatte, das Gesehene zu verarbeiten, wurde mir schlagartig klar, dass ich herausfinden musste, ob Charlotte Gainsbourg wirklich so böse ist, wie angedeutet. Zum Glück fand ich dann dieses musikalische Gegenbeweismoment, das mich in der Folge doch friedlich und sanft einschlafen ließ.
